Pierre Robert Wine Dinner at Horizons
Tue., May 13, 7 p.m.

WMMR's Pierre Robert is a Philly-lovin', card-carrying vegetarian. To honor the beloved rock jock, Chaddsford Winery is introducing Pierreno Grigio, a take on the traditional Pinot Grigio made just for Robert. Meet the DJ at Horizons on May 13 as part of his local restaurant tour and try the dish chef/owner Rich Landau designed for the occasion: pan-roasted "tofu Pierre" with sautéed morel mushrooms and fava beans in white wine with fennel leek ravioli and potato ramp broth. The full a la carte menu is available, as well as Pierreno ($8 a glass, $30 a bottle). Horizons, 611 S. Seventh St., 215-923-6117, horizonsphiladelphia.com.

SustainaBall
Sat., May 10, 7-11 p.m., $30-$50

Coordinate a new spring outfit or just come as you are — the peeps at the Sustainable Business Network heart you regardless. (As long as you buy local, that is.) Beer donations from Yards (Philly Pale Ale, Saison) and Philadelphia Brewing Co. (Kenzinger, Walt Wit) should loosen you up enough to start bidding on dinner for eight courtesy of Greener Partners (estimated value: $1,000). Local treats, including snacks from Mugshots and Betty's Tasty Buttons, will also be on hand. Painted Bride Art Center, 230 Vine St., 215-922-7400, sbnphiladelphia.org.Dish Dining Guide

Mother's Day on the Moshulu
Sun., May 11, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m., $25 (kids)-$49.95 (adults)

The food always ends up being the best part of a cruise, so why not stay local and enjoy the Moshulu's elegant atmosphere and delicious brunch spread this Mother's Day? Offerings will include spinach salad with applewood-smoked bacon; lobster bisque; fresh fruit; omelette and carving stations; pancakes, French toast and waffles; and a chocolate fountain. Reservations recommended. Moshulu, Penn's Landing, 401 S. Columbus Blvd., 215-923-2500, moshulu.com.
